On Thursday 7th March, Hillhead elected Seonad Hoy as their new local councillor.
Over the last two years, your Green representatives have ensured:
- Protection of green spaces such as Belgrave Lane
- Safer school streets for Hillhead and Dunard Primaries
- Tenants are protected from rent rises and eviction.
Seonad has a professional background in the voluntary sector and social housing and experience of supporting the development of community food growing to improve local food security and biodiversity. Seonad will be a powerful voice for residents, small business and community organisations, fighting for:
- Investment in retrofitting tenements - making homes warmer and more energy efficient
- Feminist city planning, including improved street lighting and public toilet provision
- Support for community food growing to help with physical and mental wellbeing
